Extra Curve Objects is a community-maintained add-on that expands Blender's curve toolset with extra curve object types. Once enabled, the new options appear under View3D → Add → Curve → Extra Objects, alongside Blender's standard curve entries.
This extension was part of the bundled add-ons shipped with Blender 4.1. It is now offered as is, with limited support, and is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. It requires no special permissions to run and lists multiple original authors.
Version 0.2.0 reorganized the add menu into subcategories and introduced add-on preferences that let you choose what appears in the menu and what does not. The release also brought a new UI for the redo panels of all operators, along with changes to some names and icons to make things clearer.
Extra Curve Objects is best for blender users who want additional curve object types available directly from the Add → Curve menu.
Extra Curve Objects is completely free to download and use.
