Formerly Colorama Browser, GradientHub earns its place in the aescripts library for widening its scope: multiple target modes, GRD, CSS and SVG import, and a savable user preset system, with a free upgrade offered to earlier Colorama Browser owners.
GradientHub is an After Effects tool for browsing and applying gradients, formerly released as Colorama Browser. It works across several targets: Colorama, Color Shift, Shape Layers, Layer Styles and proGradient. Color Shift is an optional third-party plugin.
The tool ships with more than 500 built-in presets and a User Presets section for saving your own. You can organise presets into categories and assign custom thumbnails, with a toggle to view each as a color wheel or a linear gradient. Gradients can be imported from GRD (Photoshop), CSS and SVG files, opening access to thousands of free gradients available online. Help documentation is included and accessible from within the tool.
The current release is version 1.4, updated June 15, 2026, which added support for the proGradient effect by irrealix. GradientHub is compatible with After Effects 2026, 2025 and 2024, and owners of the earlier Colorama Browser are offered a free upgrade.
