Lockdown 3 earns its place in the aescripts library as the original plug-in for tracking warping surfaces in After Effects, now with an improved 3D planar tracker and free Paint Link and Composite Brush.
Lockdown tracks warping and planar surfaces inside After Effects, and Lockdown 3 lets you give the mesh 3D depth. This free version supports 1 and 2 point tracking and ships with an improved 3D planar tracker.
Once the mesh has depth, you can export the 3D tracking data to Cinema 4D as a C4D file, or to Blender and other 3D applications via Alembic. From there you can attach objects in 3D and relight the mesh.
Cleanup and paint work happens in a convenient stabilized composition. The free version includes Paint Link and Composite Brush, and Paint Link lets you run Photoshop's A.I. Generative Fill on moving footage. A demo video is available on the developer's page. Compatibility spans multiple releases of After Effects, Blender, Cinema 4D, Houdini and Maya.
