Match is an After Effects extension from PENCIL Park focused on handling expressions and scripting. The property path tool returns the exact and universalized path of any property in a click. Built-in easing functions apply smooth ease in, ease out, and ease in-and-out behaviors to properties. Match installs through the aescripts + aeplugins ZXP Installer or Manager App. Open the installer, click the gear icon to reach the settings, then click the ZXP icon. Make sure Enable Debugging is checked for CEP 8 to 11, click OK, and retry the extension, which might require restarting After Effects. Once installed, it adds expression and scripting tools such as path fetching, easing functions, expression formatting, and baking to your workflow.
Match is not required to open or use projects that were built with it. Projects remain as they are, so once you have applied easing, baked expressions into keyframes, or made other edits, those results stay in the project without a dependency on the extension. This keeps files portable for collaborators or systems that do not have Match set up. The extension itself supports all After Effects property types while you work.
