Pixel Repeat is an After Effects plugin from Max van Leeuwen that loops pixels. The result is aimed at glitch art, stylized streaks, and other unique visuals, giving After Effects artists a pixel-looping effect.
The plugin includes a Visualization mode, which now supports transparency following the 1.1 update. It also carries a threshold along with Override and Include Interior options. The current release is version 1.2, a minor bug fix published on August 17, 2025, and it lists compatibility with After Effects 2025 and 2024.
Pixel Repeat began as a 1.0 release on February 24, 2025, and has moved through two updates since. It is listed here as free, and a demo video is available for those who want to see the effect before installing.
