Plexus 3 is Rowbyte's particle engine for After Effects. It lets you create, manipulate and visualize data procedurally, and it can render particles as well as build relationships between them based on various parameters.
Recent versions expand its render objects. Version 3.2.10 adds a Minimum Distance parameter for the Lines, Facets and Triangulation render objects, while earlier updates introduced a Color Mode for the Lines and Facet render objects and let the Transform Effector use an After Effects layer to drive transforms. Support for OBJ file sequences was added in After Effects 2024 and above.
The plugin runs across a wide range of After Effects versions, from CS6 up to After Effects 2025, and includes Multi Frame Rendering support along with native Apple Silicon compatibility. A demo video is available.
