ReColor is a script for After Effects that surfaces the layer colors used across a project, then lets you change them through hex values or the native After Effects color picker.
The tool offers centralized color control for keeping in sync with brand-driven motion work. It also works for quality control, helping you find and correct color discrepancies, and for reskinning a project into light and dark modes or applying other color palettes. ReColor pairs with the True Comp Duplicator script to create asset variations that each carry unique colors.
ReColor is compatible with After Effects 2026, 2025 and 2024, and reached version 1.05 with its initial release on January 30, 2026. A demo video is available. This entry is listed as free in our catalog; check the developer's page for current licensing.
