Reka Grid earns its place in the aescripts library for the breadth of grid controls packed into one plugin, from 3D and camera support to scripting. Its compatibility covers a long span of releases, from CC 2014 through to After Effects 2026.
Reka Grid is a grid plugin for After Effects, developed by irrealix, with a range of features for customizing and animating grids. It works in three dimensions, supports the After Effects camera, and includes a Billboard mode alongside rotation on the X and Y axes, a Z dimension on transform items, and a global Scale.
Beyond transforms, Reka Grid adds sprites, Ramp, Gradient, and Path parameters, Fog, and a Z-depth render pass. Noise handling covers a Noise Loop and a Noise Offset for custom noises, and grids can be sorted by Z. The plugin can be driven through scripts, with custom parameter naming and gridWidth and gridHeight parameters exposed for scripting.
