Ticker earns its place in the aescripts library for turning CSV, TSV or JSON data into tickers and crawls in two clicks, with RTL handling built in. Its compatibility reaches back to CS5, and the 1.8.7 update added animation and styling options alongside a run of fixes.
Ticker is an After Effects plugin from KiwiVFX for building on-screen tickers and crawls. It works from starter templates formatted in CSV, TSV or JSON, and it can generate a ticker or crawl in two clicks. Full right-to-left support is built in, so RTL scripts are handled directly.
Version 1.8.7 expanded the styling and animation options. You can set separate colors for the title, text and separators, apply bold to each of those, and choose colors through a new color picker. Animation types include overlap from bottom to top and top to bottom, along with parabolic animation. Tooltips list minimum, maximum and default values, and the release shipped a broad round of bug fixes covering RTL characters, motion blur, drop-shadow transitions and crawl backgrounds.
Compatibility runs from CS5, CS5.5 and CS6 through the CC releases up to After Effects 2024. A free trial lets you work with up to 5 lines, and a demo video is available.

RTL support is one of the plugin's stated core capabilities, so if your captions or crawls include RTL content, Ticker handles it directly.
