Why we like it

Text Force earns a spot in the aescripts library for combining 12 parametric text-animation styles with audio and voiceover syncing in one keyframe-free workflow.

What is Text Force?

Text Force is a script for After Effects that generates fast-cut text animations from 12 parametric styles, including Slide, Mask Slide, Track Slide, Blink, Flash Off, Ping Pong, Zoom, Hyper Zoom, Typewriter, Zoom Track, Continuous Slide, and Rotational. It produces instant results without requiring keyframes, and can run fully automatic or be tweaked to your liking.

Animations sync with audio and voiceover tracks through several syncing modes, and cuts are balanced and readable. The script includes a text solid background generator, a text separation tool, and a text alignment tool. You can set the animation style per layer and save or load setup presets.

Speech Mode, introduced in v1.9, works when Text Force is used together with Layer Force. Text Force is compatible with After Effects from CC through the 2026 release.

Frequently asked questions

Which After Effects versions does Text Force support?

Text Force supports a broad range of After Effects releases, including After Effects 2026, 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, and 2020, along with the CC lineup back through CC 2019, CC 2018, CC 2017, CC 2015.3, CC 2015, CC 2014, and CC. That range spans from the latest 2026 release back through the earliest listed CC builds. For the current compatibility list and any version-specific notes, check the developer's page before installing.

What is Speech Mode in Text Force and does it need Layer Force?

Text Force's Speech Mode is a feature introduced in version 1.9 that works when Text Force is used together with Layer Force. When you load an audio track, the script detects whether speech from Layer Force is present and lets you choose to enable Speech Mode, which cuts text according to pauses while animating. Loading audio again or unloading it disables the mode. For the full workflow, refer to the developer's page.

Is Text Force free to use?

Text Force is listed as free in this catalog. Licensing terms can change over time, so for current pricing and license details, check the developer's page on aescripts. The changelog notes that the license framework was updated in recent releases, so it's worth reviewing the latest terms before you download to confirm how the plugin can be used in your projects.

Does Text Force require keyframing text animations by hand?

Text Force does not require you to set keyframes. It generates fast-cut text animations automatically and produces instant results, so you can run it fully automatic or adjust the setup to your liking. Animation styles can be set per layer, and you can save and load setup presets to reuse configurations. This makes it possible to produce balanced, readable text cuts without building the timing manually.
