Rodenburg PhotoMatch analyses a loaded image and calculates the matching 3D camera for it, easing the integration of 3D elements with background images in Cinema 4D. Real-world camera settings often cannot be transferred directly to 3D software, so the plugin calculates the focal length and the position from which the image was taken, and matches the given perspective as closely as possible for believable results.
Beyond this calibration, PhotoMatch can rebuild simple geometry, working with both indoor and outdoor scenes. This eases compositing of 3D elements in photographic environments or matte paintings. Additional tools help reconstruct parts of the photo as 3D objects, which can then serve for Projection Mapping, as a shadow catcher, or as a Matte object for compositing.
PhotoMatch runs with Cinema 4D R13 through R19; for R20 compatibility, the free Insydium Bridge Plugin can be installed. It is aimed especially at architectural users.
