Swingy Bone Physics is an easy-to-use, artist-friendly bone chain physics solver for Blender. It adds physically based animation to hair, accessories, cloth, wires and other rigged items you want to move, and setting up a physically simulated bone chain takes a one-click process. It supports Blender versions 2.8 through 5.1.
Once a chain is set up, bone-tied collision volumes collide with the chains, and you can add several colliders at once in a few clicks. Several parameters adjust the physics behaviour, and selecting multiple bones applies the same values to all of them. Amplitude constraint profiles control each bone's maximum rotation, wind simulation adds external motion, and a curve editor fine-tunes physics parameters and wind behaviour. Visual helpers with fully customizable colors appear in the 3D viewport, bone linking maintains distance between chains, and simulation can be baked to standard keyframes in one click.
Version 2.0 adds driver bones, and Blender 5.0 support is now available. Distributed under the GPL license, Swingy Bone Physics was created by Ehcya after noticing bone chains used across many productions for hair, accessories and cloth without an equivalent bone-based Blender solution.
