TurboLayers earns its spot in the aescripts library as a slim, no-settings panel for creating trimmed layers above a selection.
TurboLayers, from ILLUMINA, adds new layers directly above the currently selected layer in an After Effects composition. It can generate Adjustment, Camera, Light, Null, Shape, Solid and Text layers. When you create one, TurboLayers automatically trims the new layer to the duration and the in and out point of the selected layer. If no layers are selected, or the composition is empty, it simply makes a new layer.
