UV Set Editor earns its place in the scriptspot library by bringing Maya-style UV channel management to 3ds Max, covering creation, renaming, duplication, copy-paste, and cleanup in one script.
UV Set Editor is a 3ds Max script from FishMan built as a direct analogue of Maya's UV Set Editor. Selecting a single piece of geometry loads all available UV channels into the tool, giving you one place to manage them. From there you can create new channels, rename existing ones, and duplicate channels as needed.
Editing happens per channel: pick a channel and edit its UVs directly. The script also copies and pastes UVs between channels on the same object, and between separate objects that share the same topology. Clearing and deleting follow a specific rule — clearing wipes the UV data while keeping the UV set, and the first UV channel cannot be cleared or deleted at all.
Tested on 3ds Max 2013, 2019, 2020, and 2022, the current version is 1.0.2, which removed a pop-up in Max 2022 that required pressing Yes. Installation is drag-and-drop onto the viewport or via Scripting then Run Script, after which it appears under Custom in Customize User Interface for hotkey or toolbar assignment.
UV Set Editor is best for 3ds Max artists who work with multiple UV channels and want to create, rename, copy, and clean them up from a single interface, including transferring UVs between objects with matching topology.
UV Set Editor is completely free to download and use.
UV Set Editor has been tested on 3ds Max 2013, 2019, 2020, and 2022, so it covers a wide span of releases across nearly a decade. The current build is version 1.0.2, which fixed a pop-up window that started appearing in Max 2022 where you had to press Yes. If you run a version outside that tested range, behaviour is not confirmed here, so check the developer's page on scriptspot for the latest details before relying on it in production work.
UV Set Editor installs like most 3ds Max scripts: drag and drop the .ms file onto the viewport, or run it through Scripting then Run Script. To make it easy to reach, open Customize User Interface, choose Custom under Category, and you will find UV Set Editor listed there to assign a hotkey or drop onto a custom toolbar. That way the tool stays available whenever you need to work with UV channels.
UV Set Editor does not let you clear or delete the first UV channel. For the others, deleting works only when you select the last item in the list; picking any other item clears it instead. Clearing removes all UV data in that channel while the UV set itself remains. It is worth keeping this distinction in mind, since clear and delete behave differently depending on which channel and list position you have selected at the time.
UV Set Editor is listed as free in this catalog. It is a 3ds Max script from FishMan distributed as an .ms file, currently at version 1.0.2. Since licensing terms can change over time, check the developer's page on scriptspot for the most current details before use. The download is provided as a script file that you add through the standard 3ds Max scripting workflow described above.

px3DDisplacer is a scripted utility plugin for 3ds Max that reshapes Editable_Poly surfaces using any geometric object as a displacer, instead of relying on grayscale maps. It ships as a single script file.

by miauu
miauu's Scalpel is a 3ds Max script that interactively subdivides geometry by drawing cut lines. Each cut originates from a vertex or edge, with snapping to vertices, edge midpoints, angles, and precise positions along an edge.
