Webcam 2 earns its place in the aescripts library for keeping the webcam feed and recording inside the Adobe apps you already work in. The 2.1.0 update brings framerate and bitrate controls, and a demo video is available on Hyper Brew's page.
Webcam 2 is a panel from Hyper Brew that docks your webcam directly inside Adobe applications, so the feed sits alongside your project. Beyond the live dock, it adds webcam and screen recording, letting you capture from within the app. It runs in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, covering the 2026 and 2025 versions.
Two display modes control how the feed appears: Fill mode zooms in to cover the whole panel, while Fit mode fits the entire webcam feed into the panel. Installation runs through the ZXP Installer, where you drag the .zxp file onto it and restart your app to make the panel available.

Webcam 2 runs inside After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Across those apps it supports the 2026 and 2025 versions. Webcam 2 installs through the ZXP Installer. Open the ZXP Installer, then drag and drop the .zxp file onto it, and restart your app once the install finishes. After restarting, the panel becomes available inside your Adobe app. The process is the same across the supported apps, so you only need the ZXP Installer and the .zxp file to get set up. If anything doesn't appear, restarting the app again is the first thing to try.
Webcam 2 needs Rosetta enabled to appear in Photoshop. Close Photoshop, right click the application in Finder and choose Get Info, then check the box that reads Open using Rosetta and close the info window. Launch Photoshop again and the panel will be available under Window > Extensions (legacy). This Rosetta step is specific to getting the panel showing in Photoshop, so it's worth checking if the panel isn't listed after installing.
Webcam 2 reached version 2.1.0 on July 6, 2026. That update adds framerate adjustment and bitrate adjustment to control video recording quality, along with fixes for variable rate video sources.
