Wiggly earns its place in the Superhive library for pairing lightweight lattice deformation with loopable noise, and the 2.0 update broadens it with wave animations and physics interaction.
Wiggly is a lightweight Blender add-on from YONK for building noise-based, loopable animations with lattices. With a single click it generates a lattice sized to fit your selected object, then directional sliders let you raise or lower the lattice resolution for finer or coarser deformations. Values update in real time, so you can play and tweak the wiggle as you go.
A one-click noise animation drives the movement, and a set of sliders shapes it: Noise Intensity amplifies or softens the effect, separate XYZ intensity sliders control each axis, and Noise Speed and Noise Seed adjust pace and cycle through seed variations. Enter a frame count into Loop Duration and the animation loops automatically. Directional gradient sliders can selectively activate or deactivate points on the lattice for more targeted adjustments.
The Wiggly 2.0 update adds wave animations alongside the noise-driven setup and lets objects in a selected Collection interact with the lattice using physics. A demo video is available, and the add-on works across Blender 3.4 through 4.4 under the GPL license.
Wiggly is best for blender artists making noise-based or wave-driven wiggle animations with lattices, especially loopable movement and objects that interact with the lattice using physics.
Wiggly is completely free to download and use.
Wiggly is listed as compatible with a wide range of Blender releases: versions 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4. That spread covers older projects still running on the 3.x series as well as more recent 4.x installs. The add-on is distributed under the GPL license. For the current version and any changes to version support, check YONK's page on the developer's site before installing so you know exactly what you're downloading.
Wiggly can have objects interact with the lattice using physics. You place objects in a selected Collection, and those objects interact with your lattice. This physics interaction arrived in the Wiggly 2.0 update, alongside the option to create wave animations next to the existing noise-driven ones. Combined with the directional and gradient controls, it gives you more than one way to drive movement across the lattice, whether by noise, wave, or physics.
Wiggly generates loopable noise-driven animations by design. You enter your chosen number of frames into the Loop Duration field and the animation loops automatically, so you don't have to manually match the start and end. On top of the noise animation, you can adjust Noise Speed to change the pace and Noise Seed to flick through thousands of seed variations. The Noise Intensity slider amplifies or softens the overall effect, and separate XYZ intensity sliders control the movement along each axis.
Wiggly is listed as free in this catalog. It's a lightweight Blender add-on from YONK for noise-based lattice animations, distributed under the GPL license. Licensing terms can change over time, so check YONK's page on the developer's site for the current terms and any details before you download. The add-on has recorded 600+ sales and holds a small number of five-star ratings on Superhive, where it sits at popularity rank 462.
