Zaebects Signal brings analog video glitching to After Effects and Premiere Pro. Rather than faking an analog look, it recreates analog television technology inside a digital environment, replicating the characteristics of an actual analog TV broadcast.
The plugin encodes video information as a modulated analog video signal, a linear combination of luminance and chrominance, and then decodes it back into a color image. The result is presented as a new way to discover analog glitches and analog video art.
A wide set of parameters lets you degrade any part of the signal, and the effect covers old videotape aesthetics, several types of noise, and authentic TV bend distortion. Signal supports After Effects and Premiere Pro releases from CC 2017 through the 2026 versions, and runs on Apple silicon.
