Advanced Color Control earns its place in the toolfarm library by exposing the Color Picker's individual color properties in the Effects & Controls panel, where they can be animated or driven by expressions across HSB, HSL and RGB models.
Advanced Color Control is an After Effects plugin that moves the color properties found in the Color Picker dialog into the Effects & Controls panel. Once there, you can animate those properties or drive them with expressions.
The plugin offers three color models — HSB (Hue Saturation Brightness), HSL (Hue Saturation Lightness) and RGB (Red Green Blue) — so you can work in the one that fits your workflow. Each model comes with two operation modes. In Values Control Color, the default and most-used mode, slider values set the color. In Color Controls Values, you change the color and the related properties update, which helps when you want to extract values for a specific color selection.
Advanced Color Control also automates the creation of Controls with a range of customization, and presents a one-liner interface with labeled elements. It's compatible with After Effects versions from CC through 2024, and a demo video is available.
