AE GPT is an AI assistant from SUZA VFX that brings automation into After Effects and Premiere Pro. Its Agent Mode writes and runs ExtendScript inside your compositions, turning plain multi-language prompts into real actions such as fixing errors, building scenes, and adding effects. Agent Mode currently runs in After Effects, while chat is available in Premiere Pro.
The panel connects to OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini models, or to local models through Ollama with automatic model detection. You can supply your own API keys or use an existing ChatGPT or Claude account. It handles natural language to expression, one-click expression error fixing, and context-aware code generation with full composition context awareness. Responses include syntax highlighting, markdown and code formatting, and one-click code copying, and API keys are stored securely on your machine.
Additional controls cover adjustable temperature and response settings, multi-step plans with real-time progress, and conversation history carried across prompts. AE GPT is compatible with After Effects and Premiere Pro versions 2021 through 2026. This card covers version 1.2.6.
