Auto Modeller Pro stands out in the superhive library for combining a pre-bake performance step with UV-based surface painting, so instanced geometry can be placed and resized while baking keeps UV placement locked against performance drops during painting.
Auto Modeller Pro is a Blender add-on that paints 3D geometry or textures directly onto any surface through UV-based instancing. It works from a panel in the 3D Viewport Sidebar, where you select a surface and choose the geometry or texture to apply.
The workflow starts with a bake step: clicking Bake locks in UV placement for smoother painting. From there, painting a chosen object slot lays the geometry onto the surface, and a UV Scale slider resizes the instanced geometry or textures on the fly. Any custom mesh can be imported or created and used to add deformations, and multiple objects can be assigned and toggled between while painting.
Installation follows the standard add-on route: download the .zip from Blender Market, then install and enable it through Edit > Preferences > Add-ons. The developer recommends Blender 4.2 or newer for best performance and compatibility. A demo video is available.
Auto Modeller Pro is best for blender users painting instanced geometry or textures onto surfaces with UV-based placement and custom-mesh deformation.
Auto Modeller Pro is completely free to download and use.
Auto Modeller Pro is recommended for Blender 4.2 or newer, which the developer notes gives the best performance and compatibility. It installs as a standard Blender add-on and runs from a panel in the 3D Viewport Sidebar. If you're on an older Blender release, the developer's page and Blender Market messaging are the places to confirm whether it will run, since 4.2 is the version singled out as recommended rather than stated as a strict minimum.
Auto Modeller Pro installs the same way as most Blender add-ons. Download the AutoModeller Pro .zip file from Blender Market, then in Blender open Edit > Preferences > Add-ons, click Install and select the .zip. Enable the add-on once it appears in the list. To start using it, open the Auto Modeller Pro panel in the 3D Viewport Sidebar, select the surface or object you want to paint on, and choose the geometry or texture you want to apply.
Auto Modeller Pro supports painting more than one object. You can assign additional objects and toggle between them as you paint, using slots such as Paint with Object 1 to pick which geometry goes down. For highly detailed surfaces, the developer suggests using multiple objects or textures. The UV Scale slider then lets you resize the instanced geometry or textures on the fly, so each object can be tuned to the level of detail you're after.
Auto Modeller Pro lets you remove painted geometry in two ways. You can delete the instanced objects through Blender's Outliner, or use Blender's undo function to reverse recent painting. Both handle clearing geometry you've placed onto a surface. If you want to rework an area, the UV Scale slider and multiple object slots let you repaint at a different size or with a different mesh, and baking first keeps UV placement locked for smooth performance.
Auto Modeller Pro is listed as free here in our catalog. Licensing terms can change, so check the developer's page on Blender Market for the current details before you download. The add-on is distributed as a .zip you install through Blender's preferences, and support or detailed tutorials are available through Blender Market messaging or the official documentation page. That's also where to look for any notes on Blender version compatibility.
