Earns its place in the superhive library for making Blender's custom bevel weight attributes more approachable, with a pie menu and on-mesh previewing.
Bevel Weight Manager is a Blender add-on built for working with bevel weights through Blender's custom attribute system. Where earlier Blender versions limited users to a single bevel weight per mesh, the updated attribute system allows unlimited bevel weights, though the default implementation remains cumbersome. This add-on wraps around that system to make the process more accessible.
The tool lets you create and delete attributes to be used as weights for bevel modifiers, and tag or untag edges, vertices or faces with a custom attribute value. You can control this value per edge, face or vertex for control over bevel sizes within each modifier. A pie menu keeps these actions accessible without digging through menus, with a hotkey set in the add-on preferences. You can also preview your attributes on the mesh to visualize what is assigned to what.
Bevel is currently the only modifier that uses the custom attributes update from Blender 4.3. As more modifiers become compatible with attributes, the developer notes the tool will have more usability in future. Documentation is included, and a demo video is available.
Bevel Weight Manager is best for blender modelers layering multiple weighted bevel modifiers and managing bevel weights through the custom attribute system.
Bevel Weight Manager is completely free to download and use.
Bevel Weight Manager is listed as compatible with Blender versions 4.2 through 4.5. It is a Blender extension distributed as an add-on. The tool relies on the custom attribute system, and the developer notes that bevel is currently the only modifier that uses the custom attributes update from Blender 4.3. As more modifiers become compatible with attributes, the developer states the add-on will have more usability in future, so keeping to the supported Blender range is recommended for the features described.
Bevel Weight Manager provides a pie menu so you don't need to dig through menus to reach its actions. The hotkey for the pie menu is set in the add-on preferences, with a default of ALT + SHIFT + A. From there you can create and delete attributes for bevel weights, tag and untag geometry, and preview attributes on the mesh. Because the shortcut lives in the preferences, you can adjust it to fit your own Blender setup if the default conflicts with an existing binding.
Bevel Weight Manager lets you preview your attributes directly on the mesh, making it easier to visualize what is assigned to what. The developer notes this on-mesh preview is not possible in the current attribute system without geometry nodes, which is one of the reasons the tool exists. Combined with per edge, face or vertex value control, the preview helps you see how different bevel weights are distributed across your model before applying or adjusting the bevel modifier.
Bevel Weight Manager is listed as free in this catalog, and it is distributed under the GPL license as a Blender add-on extension. For current licensing terms and any purchase details, check the developer's page. The add-on is published by hodgson3d and includes documentation, and a demo video is also available. Because licensing and availability can change over time, referring to the developer's official page is the best way to confirm the latest details before installing.
