Combinemats is a Blender add-on that creates new materials by combining two or more existing materials into a totally new material using advanced Blender APIs. It blends the source materials through a Mix Shader node based on a certain factor, such as a texture map or vertex paint, an approach useful for creating complex and detailed surfaces by combining the strengths of multiple materials.
The combination runs fully automatically. With a single click, Combinemats performs intelligent positioning and automatically calculates the right position to append the new nodes in the newly combined material. It also fully supports group nodes combination and is described as useful for enhancing rendering.
Combinemats supports Windows only and works across a wide range of Blender versions, from 3.0 through 4.2. It is distributed under the GPL license and ships with documentation. A demo video is also available.
