Earns its place in the Superhive library for a focused, non-destructive approach to generating quad-based patches from curves and meshes.
CurviBlend is a surface patching add-on for Blender built around a non-destructive, group-based workflow. It lets you organize any number of mesh or curve objects into manageable groups, then generate quad-based surfaces that bridge sets of geometry. The toolkit is aimed at hard-surface modeling, game asset creation, 3D printing and architectural visualization, providing tools to manage complex source geometry and generate precise surfaces.
Patches can be created from a group's curve collection or on-the-fly from any selection of two or more Bezier curves in the scene. You can switch between a fast Bilinear patch (G0 continuous) and a tangent-smooth Bicubic patch (G1 continuous), and refine surface edges with point adherence, curve rectification and optional post-patch boundary snapping. An 'Use Interpolated Curves' option projects boundaries onto a smooth interpolated guide curve.
All patch settings are live in an interactive modal workflow: adjust algorithms, U/V segment values, input adherence, interpolation and boundary snapping in the panel and see the patch update in the 3D viewport in real time. A clean N-Panel UI with context-aware buttons and tooltips rounds out the toolset.
Curviblend is best for blender artists working on hard-surface modeling, game asset creation, 3D printing and architectural visualization who need clean surfaces from curves and meshes.
Curviblend is completely free to download and use.
CurviBlend lists support for Blender 4.3 through 5.0. It is provided as an add-on and is Blender Extension compatible, and it works with the Cycles and Eevee render engines. If you are running an older Blender release, check the developer's page to confirm compatibility with your setup, since the stated range begins at 4.3. Confirming the version before installing helps avoid issues with unsupported builds of Blender, and the developer's page is the best source for the latest compatibility details.
CurviBlend offers dual-mode patching: you can create a patch from a group's curve collection or on-the-fly from any selection of two or more Bezier curves in your scene. It supports 2 and 3 curve patches as well as 5 or more curve patches. You then choose between a Bilinear patch for speed or a tangent-smooth Bicubic patch for higher quality, adjusting the result live in the viewport as you refine your input curves and segment values.
CurviBlend includes boundary control tools such as point adherence, curve rectification and optional post-patch boundary snapping to refine surface edges. Enabling the 'Use Interpolated Curves' checkbox projects surface boundaries onto a smooth interpolated guide curve for more organic, flowing surfaces from simple inputs. U/V segment values, input adherence and interpolation are all adjustable interactively, with the patch updating in the 3D viewport in real time as you change settings in the N-Panel UI.
CurviBlend is listed as free in this catalog and is distributed under the GPL license. For current licensing terms, refer to the developer's page, which is the authoritative source for how the add-on may be used. The add-on is Blender Extension compatible and installs as a standard Blender add-on, so you can enable it through Blender's add-on preferences once you have the file downloaded and pointed to in your preferences.
