Doviux Optimization Addon works with Subdivision and Multiresolution modifiers in Blender, setting optimal subdivision levels according to object size, vertex count, an object's distance to the camera, and camera settings such as focal length and depth of field. It is built to give more flexibility than Adaptive subdivision when choosing between performance and how a scene looks.
With a correct setup, the addon can cut render times by about 20% compared to unoptimized scenes by optimizing subdivision levels alone. It also works with depth of field, where scenes can see render times cut by about 35%. Optimization carries into animations, which the addon bakes into animation keyframes.
Configuration options are extensive: you can adjust global variables for scene settings and add custom property settings for specific objects. The addon is simplified to stay easy to use despite the range of controls. It is released under the GPL license and supports Blender versions from 3.0 through 4.1. Documentation is included.
