Easy Progress Bar earns its place in the superhive library as a geometry-nodes approach to progress bars, with the 1.1.0 update adding the Stepped type and broader Blender compatibility.
Easy Progress Bar is a Blender add-on from sum studio for creating progress bars with geometry nodes. After installation, bars are added from the 3D Viewport through Add > EasyProgressBar, and selecting a bar brings up its parameters in the N panel under Item.
The add-on covers several bar types, including Rect, Stepped, Scaling Circle, and Arrow. A Factor parameter drives the bar's progression from 0 to 1, and you can set the bar's material, width or radius, and height. Options include an invertible direction, an optional background and frame, each with its own material, plus adjustable frame thickness, rounded corners with adjustable radius and resolution, and a Circularize mode that makes the bar circular. Type-specific controls handle things like circle count, resolution, and arrow thickness.
Version 1.1.0 added compatibility across Blender versions, changed the add method, adjusted some parameters, and introduced the Stepped bar. It's part of the superhive library and follows a Creative Commons (CC-BY-SA) license, and it includes geometry node groups from the Free GN Presets by Bradley_Animations.
Easy Progress Bar is best for blender users who want to build progress bars from geometry nodes, with control over bar type, progression, materials, backgrounds, and frames.
Easy Progress Bar is completely free to download and use.
Easy Progress Bar supports Blender versions 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, 4.0, 4.1, and 4.2. The 1.1.0 update made the add-on compatible with a range of Blender versions and changed the method used to add bars. Installation differs slightly by version: for Blender earlier than 4.2 you install the downloaded zip through the Add-ons tab, while Blender 4.2 and later use the Install from Disk option. Check the developer's page to confirm behaviour on your exact build.
Easy Progress Bar installs from a downloaded zip file, which you should not unzip. For Blender versions earlier than 4.2, open the Add-ons tab in Preferences, click Install, select the zip, then tick the box next to the add-on's name to enable it. For Blender 4.2 and later, open the Add-ons tab, click the icon at the top right, choose Install from Disk, and select the zip. Once enabled, you add bars from the 3D Viewport under Add > EasyProgressBar.
Easy Progress Bar is listed as free here, and it's distributed under a Creative Commons license, specifically CC-BY-SA. It also contains geometry node groups from the Free GN Presets made by Bradley_Animations. Because Creative Commons terms carry attribution and share-alike conditions, check the developer's page for the current license details before using it in your own projects. For pricing and licensing questions beyond what's shown, the developer can be contacted through the same page.
Easy Progress Bar objects should be duplicated using the dedicated button in the panel rather than through Blender's normal duplicate command. Once you've added a bar and select it, the EasyProgressBar parameters appear in the N panel under Item, where you can adjust settings like Factor, Width, Height, and the bar's material. The add-on's note recommends the panel's duplicate button when you want to make additional copies. The developer's page covers the full parameter set.
