Earns its place in the Superhive library by wrapping Blender 4.3's custom float attributes for edge groups in a dedicated interface with overlays, labels, and a pie menu.
Edge Groups Manager is an addon for Blender 4.3 and later, built around the custom float attributes Blender 4.3 introduced for edge groups on the Bevel Modifier. It provides an interface for creating, renaming, and managing edge and vertex float attributes, with visual overlays, numerical weight labels, and a pie menu.
The panel lives in the 3D Viewport sidebar (N-Panel) under a category set in addon preferences, and is available in all modes. Attribute controls, overlays, and weight assignment work in Edit Mode, while renaming and deleting attributes are available in other modes. You can add float attributes, assign weights to selected edges or vertices via a slider, select or deselect elements by attribute value, and remove elements from the active attribute. Renamed attributes are automatically synchronized in any Bevel and Geometry Nodes modifiers that reference them.
Overlays highlight edges or vertices with non-zero attribute values, with X-Ray options to show them through geometry, plus configurable colors, thickness, and label fonts. An optional Vertex Attributes panel can be shown or hidden. A configurable pie menu (default Shift+Q in Edit Mode) handles assign, remove, attribute switching, and a domain switcher between Edge and Vertex.
Edge Groups Manager is best for blender 4.3+ modelers working with edge groups and the Bevel Modifier through custom float attributes.
Edge Groups Manager is completely free to download and use.
Edge Groups Manager is an addon for Blender 4.3 and later. It is built around the custom float attributes Blender 4.3 introduced for creating edge groups for the Bevel Modifier, which go beyond the single bevel weight limit of older versions. Because it depends on that feature, it targets Blender 4.3+ specifically. The panel appears in the 3D Viewport sidebar under a category you set in addon preferences, and it is available in all modes, with full attribute controls active in Edit Mode.
Edge Groups Manager places its panel in the 3D Viewport sidebar (the N-Panel), under the category specified in addon preferences, which defaults to "Edit". The panel is available in all modes. Attribute controls, overlays, and weight assignment are only available in Edit Mode, while in other modes you can still rename or delete attributes. For faster access, the addon also includes a configurable pie menu, set to Shift+Q in Edit Mode by default, for assigning and removing attribute weights without navigating the sidebar.
Edge Groups Manager includes an optional Vertex Attributes panel for managing vertex float attributes, which can be shown or hidden through the Show Vertex Panel option in addon preferences. Its Add, List, Weight, Select/Deselect, and Assign/Remove controls work identically to the Edge panel. The vertex overlay draws colored circles on vertices with non-zero attribute values, with X-Ray options and weight labels. When both Edge and Vertex panels are active, the pie menu adds a domain switcher to its North slot so you can switch between domains without closing the menu.
Edge Groups Manager is listed as free in this catalog. For current licensing terms and any usage conditions, check the developer's page on Superhive, where the addon is published. The listing covers the Blender 4.3+ addon with its edge and vertex attribute management, overlays, weight labels, pie menu, and configurable preferences. A demo video is also available if you want to see the addon before installing it.
