Earns its place in the superhive library by bundling layer-based sculpting, several mesh-smoothing algorithms, and modular string instancing into one Blender add-on. Worth noting the Fast Stylized algorithm is flagged experimental, and actual baking operations aren't currently built in.
Environmental Sculpting Kit is a Blender add-on that centres on non-destructive sculpt layers. You can create a layer on the active object, remove it, tweak it, or mask it, and each layer carries an opacity value where full weight, no weight, inverted influence, and doubled influence are all options. A monitor icon disables a layer's influence entirely, and a manual bake writes all layer data onto the mesh for permanent geometry changes.
Layers can be driven by several noise generators, including Sine Waves, White Noise, Perlin, Voronoi/Cell, and a custom texture, each with scale, strength, and seed controls. The kit ships with 10 complimentary noise textures that you can import into a Blender scene and select as a custom texture in the noise type dropdown.
For refinement, it offers Conformal Willmore, Safe Laplacian, Safe Taubin, and an experimental Fast Stylized algorithm, exposing global strength and iterations. Modular string instancing generates strings and arrays of collections and syncs them with updates from the source collection, while quick target and cage generation helps scale planes to tiling and set offset and depth for baking capture.
Environmental Sculpting Kit is best for blender 5.1+ artists working with layered non-destructive sculpting, procedural noise detailing, mesh smoothing, and modular collection instancing.
Environmental Sculpting Kit is completely free to download and use.
Environmental Sculpting Kit is made for Blender 5.1 and later, so it targets that release line rather than earlier builds. If you're on an older version, you'd need to update Blender before using the kit. Since the toolset spans non-destructive layers, noise generators, smoothing algorithms, and modular string instancing, running it on the supported release helps everything behave as intended. For the latest confirmed version support, it's best to check the developer's page directly.
Environmental Sculpting Kit includes four smoothing and polishing algorithms: Conformal Willmore, Safe Laplacian, Safe Taubin, and Fast Stylized. Each of the first three exposes a global strength setting that controls its influence over the mesh and an iterations count for how many times the operation runs in sequence. Fast Stylized is flagged as experimental and adds finer controls such as pinch strength, chisel strength, smooth strength, macro radius, threshold, preserve details, and edge contrast. You can pick whichever fits the surface you're refining.
Environmental Sculpting Kit can permanently apply your work through its manual bake option, which writes all layer data onto the mesh and makes those geometry changes permanent. Separately, its quick target and cage generation lets you scale planes to match tiling and adjust plane offset and depth to capture geometry for internal or external baking. Note that the actual baking operations themselves aren't currently incorporated into the plugin, so those target and cage tools prepare geometry rather than run the bake.
Environmental Sculpting Kit is listed as free in this catalog. For current licensing terms, any usage conditions, and the most up-to-date details, it's best to check the developer's page directly, since terms can change over time. The add-on comes from tykuii's lil shop and also ships with documentation plus 10 complimentary noise textures you can bring into a Blender scene and use as custom textures in the noise type dropdown.
