Exact Radius earns its place in the blender_extensions library for a focused job: turning vertex selections into circles of a set radius from a shortcut, with arcs, multiple rings and multi-object editing covered.

What is Exact Radius?

In Edit Mode, select one or more rings of vertices — a full circle, a hole, or a partial arc — press Alt+R (configurable) or open the Vertex menu, type the radius, and press Enter. The entry accepts math expressions, so 20/2 turns a diameter into its radius. Pressing Enter with nothing typed uses the fitted radius, and Esc cancels. The operation is non-destructive and undo-able, with no scaling or applying involved.

It works on one ring or many at once — separate holes or rings stacked in a single mesh, such as the cross-sections of a tube — fitting and resizing each independently. Multi-object edit mode is supported across several meshes. Any orientation works, since it fits the selection's own plane, and partial arcs get the correct center through a least-squares fit. The selection is validated, so a face, whole mesh or blob returns a clear error. After running, the F9 redo panel sets the center to Auto or the 3D Cursor.
