FilmConvert Nitrate for OFX adds film stock emulation and grain to DaVinci Resolve. It offers 19 motion and still film stocks, built scientifically from a selection of film stocks, and analyzes the camera you shot on to adapt each stock to that camera's color science. Cineon LOG versions let you dial contrast and saturation back while keeping the film stock colors.
Rather than overlaying grain, Nitrate models the amount of grain required for each color and exposure. A grain response curve lets you adjust grain in the highlights, midtones and shadows, along with overall softness and saturation. Custom curve controls for every film stock cover highlight and shadow roll-offs and per-channel adjustment, and the plugin runs a full LOG image processing pipeline so you can work the full dynamic range through grading. Finished grades can be exported as 3D LUTs.
Halation is available as an add-on rather than part of the standard license. The plugin is cross-platform for macOS and Windows.
