Guides earns its place in the aescripts library for handling guide work across comps and layers from one script — griddifying, dividing, wrapping, and sharing guides that would otherwise be set by hand.
Guides is a script by Rendertom for After Effects for creating and manipulating guides inside the application. It works across single or multiple compositions and layers, letting you copy and paste guides between them, save and apply guide setups for later use or to share with a team, and clear guides across multiple compositions.
Beyond basic placement, Guides can rotate and move guides horizontally or vertically, and add them at the edge or center of a composition or layer. It can griddify compositions or layers by adding a guide every X pixels, divide them into X pieces, or wrap guides around the edges. You can also set the state of Lock Guides, Snap to Guides, and Show Guides for multiple compositions at once.
