IRG keeps room generation to one sidebar panel and a set of numeric inputs, which is what stands out about it. Rather than covering interiors broadly, it focuses on generating dimensioned shells, walls, floors, and windows, then hands off to Blender's Shader Editor and standard lighting for finishing. That narrow scope makes it straightforward to slot into a modelling pass.
Isometric Room Generator, or IRG, automates interior modelling in Blender by handling room setup, wall and floor thickness, and windows from numeric inputs. You specify width, depth, and height, choose a square or round room, and generate the geometry without manually setting up Booleans or arrays. Numeric fields keep windows aligned and thicknesses uniform across the build.
Windows are configurable per wall: place them on one or both walls, set the count, pick a shape from sash, round, or square, and adjust the size. Each window panel is created as its own object with a ready-to-render glass material, and the resulting rooms use clean, quad-based geometry. After generating, you can adjust panel materials in the Shader Editor and add lighting and a camera.
The add-on works through a single panel in the 3D View sidebar with an Apply button, so the workflow stays in the viewport. IRG suits game assets, archviz, and stylised isometric art. It runs on Blender 3.6 through 5.0 on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Note that IRG generates room geometry only, so furniture and props are not included.
Isometric Room Generator is best for game assets, archviz, and stylised isometric art in Blender.
Isometric Room Generator is completely free to download and use.
Isometric Room Generator runs on Blender 3.6 through 5.0 and works across Windows, macOS, and Linux. Once installed and enabled, its panel appears in the 3D View sidebar under the Create tab. If you're on a Blender release inside that 3.6 to 5.0 range, the add-on should load through the standard add-on process. For versions outside that window, check the developer's page before installing to confirm current support and platform coverage.
Isometric Room Generator installs through Blender's add-on system: open Edit, then Preferences, then Add-ons, then Install, and select the downloaded file. After installing, activate it by finding IRG under the 3D View Sidebar, Create tab, and enabling it. From there, open the IRG panel, set your room parameters, and click Generate to create your first room. The whole flow stays inside Blender's preferences and viewport, using the standard add-on installation route.
Isometric Room Generator can create both square and round rooms. Round room generation arrived in version 1.0.6, which supports square and sash window shapes for that mode. For either room type you set width, depth, and height along with wall and floor thickness, then configure windows by wall, count, shape, and size. After generating, you can tweak the panel materials in Blender's Shader Editor and add lighting and a camera for a render-ready result.
Isometric Room Generator produces room geometry only, meaning it generates the shells, walls, floors, and windows you configure. The furniture and props shown in its promotional images come from BlenderKit and are not part of the add-on. What you get from IRG is clean, quad-based geometry with each window panel as its own object carrying a ready-to-render glass material, which you can then furnish and detail using your own assets or other sources.
Isometric Room Generator is listed as free in this catalog. Licensing and any pricing can change over time, so for the current terms it's best to check the developer's page directly before downloading. Once you have it, installation uses Blender's standard add-on process through Edit, Preferences, Add-ons, after which the tool becomes available in the 3D View sidebar under the Create tab.
