Keystone earns its place in the Toolfarm library for gathering keyframe, anchor and layer tasks into a single panel. A demo video is available, and the extension supports After Effects versions through 2026.
Keystone is an extension for After Effects developed by Romain Cousin, listed in the Toolfarm library at rank 122. Its Anchor section repositions anchor points or creates null objects with CTRL/CMD + click, and can target individual layers, layer groups, the composition, custom coordinates, and the internal anchor points of shape and text layers.
Beyond anchors, Keystone provides a dedicated Layers panel, options to link and unlink keyframes and layers, and Temporal and Spatial Interpolation controls. A Favorites system displays only the features you choose, while keyframe selection by color and keyboard shortcuts for layer labels handle selection work. Functions such as stretch, stagger and distribute round out its keyframe and layer tools.
The interface is adaptive, with a vertical layout, an option to hide section titles, and an adjustable UI scale in preferences. Keystone also works with KBar and supports the After Effects 2025 color themes in Darkest, Dark and Light appearances.

Keystone is compatible with After Effects 2026, 2025, 2024, 2023 and 2022. It also supports the After Effects 2025 color themes, with Darkest, Dark and Light options. Keystone supports KBar. Label features are available through KBar, link options between keyframes and layers can be triggered from KBar functions, and the extension uses KBar Extension buttons. A .kbar file containing all functions and icons is available for download from the Keystone 2 online documentation, so you can load the button set directly and drive Keystone actions from a KBar toolbar alongside the panel.
Keystone creates null objects through its Anchor section using CTRL/CMD + click. The same section repositions anchor points and can target individual layers, layer groups, the composition, custom coordinates, and the internal anchor points of shape and text layers. Null layers made this way are placed directly above the selected layers and are automatically trimmed to match the length of their children, keeping generated nulls tied to the layers they relate to.
