Meta Character Maker gives Blender users a base-mesh creation process built on mirrored metaballs, loosely based on the zSpheres workflow. It ships with a character library that includes dinosaurs, insects, humanoids and even Cthulhu.
The plugin comes in two versions: one for Blender 2.79 and one for Blender 2.80 and up, covering both older and newer releases. The resulting object can be an array of metaballs or a polygonal base mesh.
Documentation is included with the plugin, and a demo video is available. Meta Character Maker is part of the Superhive library and is released under the GPL license, with listed compatibility spanning Blender 2.79 through 3.4. It was created by Daniel F.R. Gordillo, who publishes it as a Blender Development Fund contributor.
