Motion Sounds is a Blender add-on that adds sound effects to the Video Sequence Editor based on bone motion events. It detects when armature bones cross a specified Z threshold during animation and inserts sound clips at those frames, tying audio to what the rig is doing.
The add-on maps volume to motion speed, so faster movement produces louder sounds. Sounds can be selected randomly or as a single clip from a folder, and volume can be randomized for variation. Version 0.9.0 adds a set of default sounds, and a demo video is available.
Motion Sounds is compatible with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer and requires no special permissions to run. It is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, and was created by Jan-Hendrik and Polyfjord.
