Speaker Overhaul - Automated Sound Design is an addon that expands Blender's speaker into a set of tools for sound design and animation. It's organised into three sections, each covering a different way sound enters a scene.
The Master Speaker handles scene ambience — urban chatter, wind moving through a forest's crowns, or frogs around a pond — and can play as many variations or sound effects as you like at different locations, frames, pitches and volumes. Motion Speakers are triggered by an object's motion along its X, Y and Z axes, self-correcting speed and pitch as the object moves; from that you can simulate engine startups or speed changes for wind, water, or a passing car, plane or train. The Animation Speaker binds sounds to specific animation frames, so footsteps, cloth rustle or water splashes fire on the frames you choose and react to changes in animation speed.
Version 1.2 added presets for the different audio types, saved to the addon for reuse across Blender projects. It runs on Blender 2.93 through 5.0 under the GPL license.
