Mysmooth earns its place in the Superhive library for condensing the auto smooth workflow into one button and a shortcut, with the shading state shown on the button itself.
Mysmooth adds a one-action approach to shade smooth in Blender. Instead of opening the mesh properties to activate auto smooth, you click a button placed in the header menu or press the Ctrl+Alt+S shortcut, and the add-on applies auto smooth with the default angle. The button indicates the current shading condition of the object, and it works only in object mode with objects that contain a mesh.
When several objects are selected, they all smoothen or flatten together. If the selection contains mixed object types, the add-on asks whether to smooth or flatten all marked objects. A nearby submenu lets you adjust the preset auto smooth options, activate or deactivate auto smooth on the active object, and change the smoothing angle. You can also choose to use the button purely as an instant toggle between smooth and flat.
The shortcut and some default values are configurable in the add-on preferences. Documentation is included, and a demo video is available. The add-on is published for Blender versions 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2 under the GPL license.
Mysmooth is best for blender users who frequently shade smooth objects and want to apply auto smooth in a single action.
Mysmooth is completely free to download and use.
Mysmooth is published for Blender versions 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2. If you run a version outside that range, check the developer's page for the latest compatibility details before installing. The add-on operates only in object mode and works with objects that contain a mesh, so those conditions apply regardless of which supported Blender version you are running when you trigger the smoothing action.
Mysmooth smooths or flattens all selected objects at the same time. When the selection contains mixed object types, the add-on asks whether you want to smooth or flatten all marked objects. The button also indicates the current shading condition of the object, so you can see the state before acting. Note that Mysmooth is available only in object mode and works only with objects that contain a mesh.
Mysmooth lets you configure the Ctrl+Alt+S shortcut and some default values in the add-on preferences. A nearby submenu handles the preset auto smooth options, where you can activate or deactivate auto smooth on the active object and adjust the smoothing angle afterward. By default the add-on applies auto smooth using the standard angle, so you only need to adjust settings when the default does not suit your object.
Mysmooth is listed as free in this catalog, so no specific price is shown here. Licensing terms can change over time, so for the current pricing and license status it is best to check the developer's page directly. The add-on is distributed under the GPL license, and documentation is included with it. A demo video is also available on the source site if you want to see it in action before installing.
