Nurc Boolean Core earns its place in the superhive library by keeping boolean actions, cutter cleanup, and workflow modes in one focused toolset, with a version 1.0.1 update that added cutter-in-use detection, a stabilization pass, and Blender undo support for the main action operator.
Nurc Boolean Core is a Blender addon focused on creating, managing, and cleaning boolean operations. Blender already includes boolean tools, but setting up modifiers, managing cutters, hiding helper objects, and cleaning collections can slow modeling down. This addon gives direct access to the core boolean actions and keeps cutters organized without adding extra complexity.
You get the essential operations, Difference, Union, Intersect, and Slice, alongside stack tools such as Apply Last, Apply All, Remove Last, and Remove All, so you decide when booleans stay editable and when they become final geometry. Dedicated cutter tools handle showing, hiding, selecting, organizing, and cleaning cutters, and the addon can sort them into a dedicated collection with consistent naming.
Two workflow modes let you choose between control and speed: Exact for more robust and precise operations, and Fast Destructive for faster iteration by applying the boolean immediately and deleting the used cutter. Access sits in the 3D View Sidebar, a popup, and a menu. It's built for hard-surface modeling, blockouts, sci-fi and mechanical assets, and fast shape exploration.
Nurc Boolean Core is best for hard-surface modeling, blockout workflows, sci-fi and mechanical asset creation, and fast iterative shape exploration in Blender.
Nurc Boolean Core is completely free to download and use.
Nurc Boolean Core lists commercially declared support for Blender 4.5 through 5.1. If you're running a version inside that range, the addon is intended to work with your setup. For versions outside that window, compatibility isn't declared, so check the developer's page before installing. The addon installs as a Blender extension and lives under View3D > Sidebar > Nurc Boolean Core once enabled, keeping its actions close to your modeling workflow. If you're unsure about your Blender version, confirm it before enabling the addon.
Nurc Boolean Core installs through Blender's Extensions system. Open Edit > Preferences > Extensions, choose Install from Disk, select the provided .zip file, then enable Nurc Boolean Core. Alternatively, use the Online Service: search for Nurc Boolean Core, click Install, and enable it. Once enabled, you'll find the addon under View3D > Sidebar > Nurc Boolean Core. A full video walkthrough covering both installation and the core workflow is included, so you can follow the setup steps and see the tools in action.
Nurc Boolean Core includes two workflow modes so you can match the task. Exact is aimed at more robust and precise boolean operations. Fast Destructive speeds up iteration by applying the boolean immediately and deleting the used cutter. This lets you switch between control and speed depending on where you are in the modeling process. Alongside the modes, stack tools like Apply Last, Apply All, Remove Last, and Remove All let you decide when booleans stay editable and when they become final geometry.
Nurc Boolean Core is listed as free in this catalog. Pricing and licensing can change, so check the developer's page for the current terms before you rely on it for commercial work. The addon is described as a standalone boolean toolset with a production-oriented approach, and the current release notes cover version 1.0.1, which added detection of cutters still used in modifiers, a stabilization update, and Blender undo support for the main action operator.
Nurc Boolean Core is available directly from the 3D View Sidebar, a popup, and a menu, so its core actions stay close to your modeling workflow rather than behind extra navigation. After installing and enabling the addon, you'll find it at View3D > Sidebar > Nurc Boolean Core. From there you can create booleans, manage the stack, and handle cutters, including organizing them into a dedicated collection with consistent naming to keep heavier boolean scenes readable.
