Stands out in the Superhive library for consolidating dozens of fragmented Blender shortcuts into one snap-driven toolkit, with v1.8 rebuilding the snap core around a raycast engine.
Osnap+ Snap System is a precision modeling toolkit for Blender that runs its tools through one coherent snap system. From Move to NURBS Patch, operators snap onto vertices, edge midpoints, face centers, perpendiculars, intersections, and projected alignment guides. It gathers snap-aware primitives (Box, Sphere, Cylinder, Torus in multiple construction modes), surface generation (Loft, Patch, Sweep, Revolve, Boundary), solid modeling (Push/Pull, Shell, Inset, Boolean-clean operations), and precision transforms (Move, Scale, Rotate, Mirror, Array with origin-destination workflow and numeric input).
Tools are reached from a collapsible sidebar opened with N and organized into thematic sections, or through five pie menus bound to Alt+W/A/E/C/X. Every operator carries a full F9 redo panel for non-destructive adjustment. It is built for architects, product designers, and technical artists.
Version 1.8 re-architects the snap core around a raycast BVH engine that stays instant on dense imported meshes and large scenes. It adds an "On Surface" snap, saved Work Planes, an always-visible Work Plane, a Gumball gizmo, coordinate input via =, a redesigned Loft, Knife, and Split by Plane, alongside dozens of fixes.
Osnap+ Snap System is best for architects, product designers, and technical artists working with precision modeling and imported CAD geometry in Blender.
Osnap+ Snap System is completely free to download and use.
Osnap+ Snap System lists compatibility with Blender 4.2 and up, including the 5.x series, in version 1.8. Because compatibility can shift between Blender releases, check the developer's page for the current supported range before installing. The v1.8 snap engine was re-architected specifically to stay instant on dense imported meshes and large scenes, so newer Blender versions are the intended target for the raycast core.
Osnap+ Snap System exposes its tools two ways. You can open a collapsible sidebar with the N key, organized into thematic sections, or use five pie menus bound to Alt+W, Alt+A, Alt+E, Alt+C, and Alt+X. Every operator also has a full F9 redo panel for non-destructive adjustment after you run it, and you can press = to type exact X, Y, and Z coordinates in the Work Plane frame.
Osnap+ Snap System version 1.8 replaces the old vertex-by-vertex Python scan, which had a hard vertex limit that silently dropped dense objects. The new engine casts a ray under the cursor using a C-level BVH at O(log n) and analyzes only the face it hits, so imported CAD models, sculpts, and sync-tool meshes snap instantly. Modifiers and collection instances are snappable out of the box via the evaluated depsgraph, and a Legacy engine toggle remains as a fallback.
Osnap+ Snap System is listed as free in this catalog. Licensing terms can change over time, so for the current details and any documentation it is best to check the developer's page on Superhive directly. The listing includes documentation and a demo video for the plugin, which can help you gauge the toolkit before downloading it into Blender.
