Pluck is an After Effects plugin from Mooviemakers for pulling individual comps out of other project files. Instead of importing whole projects, you drag and drop the comps you need, and Pluck resolves their dependencies automatically, bringing precomps and footage along. Existing footage is relinked rather than duplicated, and broken expression references are flagged before import.
Before importing, Pluck shows a full comp list with dimensions, fps and duration, plus search and filter by name, so you can select one comp or many and see everything before you import anything. Imported items can mirror the source folder structure, auto-sort by type, land flat in a single folder, or go into a custom sub-folder, with a label colour applied and an option to open the comp in the timeline afterward.
On the export side, Pluck writes selected comps as clean, self-contained project files, either as a standalone .aep with footage alongside or a single .zip. Custom filenames use tokens for comp name, project name and date. Version 1.5 adds per-layer imports and libraries for organising favourites.
