Powerprim comes from the creator of PowerSlide and folds primitive placement into a one-click operation aligned to existing geometry.
Powerprim adds primitive creation and alignment to Blender's modeling workflow. Select existing geometry and it creates a new primitive aligned to any face, edge or vertex. You can also select an object in your scene, then select the geometry you want to place it on, and Powerprim positions it for you.
Beyond single placements, the add-on spawns multiple primitives or custom objects along any edge, or between two vertices or faces. Select two or more elements and it creates the new object at their median position. Intuitive arrays and one-click support for custom objects are part of the toolset, useful for placing parts such as buttons, screens, handles, levers, screws, bolts and rivets.
Powerprim comes from the creator of PowerSlide and is distributed as a Blender add-on under the GPL license, listed as an extension. A demo video is available, and a documentation page covers full instructions with screenshots.
Powerprim is best for blender modelers placing and aligning primitives or custom objects onto existing geometry.
Powerprim is completely free to download and use.
Powerprim lists Blender 5.0 as its supported version and is marked Blender Extension compatible, installed as an add-on of the extension type. It works on your existing geometry, so you select faces, edges or vertices and it creates or aligns primitives to them. For the exact supported range and any setup steps, check the developer's page and the documentation, which covers full instructions with screenshots.
Powerprim is listed as free in this catalog. Licensing and pricing can change over time, so the developer's page is the place to confirm current terms before you download. The add-on is distributed under the GPL license and appears as a Dev Fund contributor listing on its source site. For full details on what's included and how it's supported, the developer's documentation page is the best reference.
Powerprim can spawn multiple primitives or custom objects along any edge, or between two vertices or faces. It also creates a new object at the median position when you select two or more elements. For single placements, you select existing geometry and it aligns the new primitive to a chosen face, edge or vertex. The documentation page walks through these workflows with screenshots.
Powerprim supports custom objects with one-click placement: select any object in your scene, then select the geometry you want to place it on, and it handles positioning and alignment. This applies to placing parts such as buttons, screens, handles, levers, screws, bolts and rivets. A demo video is available to see the workflow, and the documentation page provides full instructions and screenshots.
