ProColor, since renamed WireColor Pro, is an open-source MaxScript tool built for wirecolor workflow in Autodesk 3ds Max. It covers intelligent randomization, instance synchronization, gradient mapping, and material conversion, aimed at 3D artists, designers, and technical artists working with object colors across a scene.
The tool ships with five curated color presets — Pastel, Gray, Toxic, Clay, and Random — and flexible targeting that lets you apply colors to Geometry, Shapes, Groups, All Objects, or a Selection. Instance-aware coloring keeps colors consistent across duplicated objects, while smooth color transitions handle gradients between objects. A dual color picker gives precise control, and smart selection handling works on either a selection or the entire scene. Full Undo/Redo support lets you experiment with color choices freely.
Additional features include a Realtime Wirecolor mode, a Batch Wirecolor to Material Converter, and a Batch Material Eraser. This version is now deprecated in favor of the latest optimized release, WireColor Pro. A demo video is available, and the source is hosted on the developer's GitHub page.
