Quick Seam & Sharp earns its place in the superhive library for folding several hard-surface tasks — sharp edges, seams, bevel weights, and a Weighted Normal modifier — into one Alt + C macro, while leaving N-Panel toggles in place for manual control.
Quick Seam & Sharp is a Blender add-on that handles the marking of sharp edges, seams, and bevel weights automatically. Instead of tagging edges by hand, you press Alt + C to run a single macro across all selected objects. The tool uses curvature-aware geometry analysis to detect where marks belong, working from a customizable angle threshold set to 45° by default.
Beyond basic angle detection, it includes ring and tube detection for cylinders, pipes, and spherical shapes, generating a single longitudinal Master Seam without adding unwanted sharpness. A smart planar cleanup step removes redundant seams on flat surfaces for cleaner UV islands, and a Weighted Normal modifier is applied and configured at the end of your modifier stack. Bevel weights are assigned from 0.0 to 1.0 for non-destructive bevel workflows.
The N-Panel exposes individual toggles for Sharp, Seam, Bevel, and Master Seam, and the add-on can preserve your existing manual edge marks. It also includes a texture checker toggle that remembers original materials. Compatible with Blender 4.1 through 5.1.
Quick Seam & Sharp is best for blender artists working on hard-surface models who want to automate sharp edge, seam, and bevel weight marking ahead of UV unwrapping and shading.
Quick Seam & Sharp is completely free to download and use.
Quick Seam & Sharp supports Blender 4.1 through 5.1. On Blender 4.1 and newer it uses the new Smooth by Angle modifier, while keeping full backward compatibility with older versions through the traditional auto-smooth methodology. That means the add-on adapts to whichever shading approach your Blender version relies on. If you work across multiple Blender versions, it should slot into each without forcing you to change how you handle smoothing. Check the developer's page for the exact version details before installing.
Quick Seam & Sharp is listed as free in this catalog, so you can add it to your Blender toolkit without a purchase here. Licensing terms can change over time, so for current pricing, licensing, and any purchase options, check the developer's page. The add-on is released under the GPL license, which is standard for Blender add-ons and governs how the code can be used and shared. For the most accurate and up-to-date licensing information, refer to the developer directly.
Quick Seam & Sharp runs from a single macro triggered by the Alt + C shortcut, which applies the add-on to all selected objects at once. From the N-Panel you also get individual toggles for Sharp, Seam, Bevel, and Master Seam, so you can control exactly which marks are applied. The add-on can also preserve your existing manual edge marks rather than overwriting them. This gives you a one-press option for speed alongside finer manual control when a model needs specific adjustments.
Quick Seam & Sharp works with Blender's Cycles and Eevee render engines. Because the add-on focuses on marking sharp edges, seams, and bevel weights and configuring a Weighted Normal modifier at the end of your stack, the results carry through to whichever of those engines you render with. It targets the geometry and shading setup rather than any single renderer, so hard-surface shading stays consistent. For confirmation of engine support with your specific Blender version, refer to the developer's page.
