Earns its place for turning steel truss and shed modeling into a parameter-driven, one-click process, with generated models that follow real-world proportions.
R2-Ironking Truss is a Blender add-on for generating steel truss frameworks, roof structures, and metal sheet covers of the kind used in temporary sheds, site shelters, workshops, and pre-engineered structures. The generated models follow real-world proportions, so they suit concept design, construction visualization, technical references, and animation.
You choose from several truss styles: King Post, Mono Truss, Bowstring, Mansard, and Dome Structure, with more variations planned. Geometry is fully customizable through span, height, roof slope angles, number of divisions, truss depth, and trapezoidal sheet profile options. An integrated metal sheet generator produces trapezoidal profiled roofing with profile types, realistic extrusions, panel width, and flat mesh and wireframe versions.
Wall and side panels, side faces, and end caps can be generated automatically to complete the shed envelope, and you can add multiple door openings on the front face with control over count, size, spacing, and offset, backed by safety checks against overlapping or oversized layouts. The workflow is one-click: pick a truss type and parameters, hit Generate Truss, and the full editable model appears in your scene.
R2-Ironking Truss is best for blender artists building shed and pre-engineered structure models for concept design, construction visualization, technical references, or animation.
R2-Ironking Truss is completely free to download and use.
R2-Ironking Truss lists compatibility with Blender versions 3.5 through 4.5, covering a wide span of releases. The add-on was published around ten months ago and generates truss frameworks, roof structures, and metal sheet covers directly into your scene. Because it targets that version range, you can run it across several recent Blender builds. If you work in a newer or older release, check the developer's page to confirm current compatibility before relying on it in a project.
R2-Ironking Truss is listed with Eevee as its render engine, so the generated shed models, metal sheets, and panels are set up with that pipeline in mind. The add-on produces full, editable geometry added to your scene, including truss frameworks, wall panels, end caps, and door openings. Since the output is standard Blender-friendly mesh, you can adjust materials and lighting as needed. For details on render behaviour beyond Eevee, the developer's page is the best reference.
R2-Ironking Truss is listed as free in this catalog and carries an MIT license, which is a permissive open-source arrangement. That covers how you can use and modify the add-on, though licensing terms can change over time. For the current license status and any conditions attached to the download, check the developer's page directly. The MIT license generally allows broad use, but confirming the latest details there is the safest way to stay accurate before deploying it in your work.
R2-Ironking Truss includes several shed truss styles: King Post, Mono Truss, Bowstring Truss, Mansard Truss, and Dome Structure. The developer notes that more truss variations are planned for future updates. You select a truss type along with shed parameters, then generate the structure in a single step. Alongside the truss choice, you control span, height, roof slope angles, number of divisions, truss depth, and trapezoidal sheet profile options, giving you a range of configurations from one add-on.
