ReTrack 2 earns its place in the aescripts library for its focus on editing and rebuilding existing tracked data rather than tracking alone, with support for After Effects releases from CS6 to 2026.
ReTrack 2 works as a motion-tracking engine and editor inside After Effects. It lets you use all types of AE tracked data together and re-track difficult shots precisely with selections. Rather than starting over, it rebuilds partial tracked data and adjusts bad tracking by working above the tracked keyframes.
The toolset includes a keys-based edit tool with support for trimmed and shifted layers, perspective tracked masks support, and direct conversion of tracked data. It can estimate and rebuild missing tracks, retrack offscreen targets, and transfer 3D camera motion to 3D nulls.
