SUGARfx Subtitles adds subtitles to finished movies, either burnt in permanently or exported to several formats. It imports SRT, SBV, Script File and its own UserTC format, and can export to SRT and other formats. The plugin supports hundreds of fonts and languages, and applies style tags across all formats.
To add subtitles, drag SUGARfx Subtitles onto the top track of your editing timeline, select the Import function, choose an input format, and load your subtitle text from disk. From there you can adjust text size, position, alignment, and font, with comprehensive control over style, tracking, and justification. Auto wrapping, margin control, a text background, auto duration fine tuning, and overlapping safeguards handle the finer details.
The plugin also reads marker data created in Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Premiere Pro, using it as timecode-accurate subtitle text. It can generate markers for those applications too, supporting data exchange across a production. Presets help in multi-user environments, and on-screen controls display information as you work.
