Text Effects animates 3D text in Blender by applying effects rather than building keyframes or math. Effects include typewriter, wave, wiggle, randomize and scramble/decode. The add-on is built around presets and reusable templates, so any existing text in your scene can be converted to animation, and an effect can be replaced, duplicated or shared.
Version 5 is a complete re-architecture. Glyph layout, kerning, per-frame transforms, cascade and baking now run in a native, fully multithreaded Rust engine that uses all your CPU cores, with up to around 60× faster text creation and true real-time editing after the old Sync step was removed.
Alongside animation, it offers a live multi-line text editor, left/center/right alignment, .srt subtitle import with per-line re-wrap and duration, text on curve paths, an animated counter channel, per-letter, per-word and per-line cascade, audio/sound bake, 38 interpolations and easing options, animation loops, and single or batch baking. It runs as a Blender add-on under the GPL license.
