Vectart Animation earns a spot in the blender_extensions library for pairing 15 preset styles with a Geometry Nodes mode and orchestral timing controls, all managed from a single grid-based panel.
Vectart Animation is a Blender add-on from Dimona Patrick that orchestrates animations for collections of mesh and curve objects. It works on whole collections at once and layers timing, sequencing, and preset-driven styles inside a grid-based interface split into timing, style, and advanced panels.
Timing runs on delay modes, overlap, and randomness, plus a Musicality slider for expressive orchestration. The preset library holds 15 dramatic styles, from Robotic Unfold and Tech Assembly to Typewriter and Domino Fall, and a Geometry Nodes mode adds five procedural effects (Wave Deform, Noise Displacement, Dissolve, Scatter Grow, Smooth Inflate) with auto-keyframed inputs.
Animation types can combine scale, rotation, location, and extrude with per-type offsets, and multiple interpolation and easing options are available. Collision avoidance keeps objects from overlapping, and keyframe tools handle copy, paste (including reverse), and clear for batch workflows. Version 2.1.0 targets Blender 4.2 LTS and newer under the GPL-3.0-or-later license.
Vectart Animation is best for blender artists animating collections of mesh and curve objects who want preset-driven and procedural motion with timing and sequencing controls.
Vectart Animation is completely free to download and use.
Vectart Animation targets Blender 4.2 LTS and newer, so it runs on the 4.2 release and later versions. Version 2.1.0 is built as an extension using a blender_manifest.toml rather than the older bl_info metadata, which fits Blender's current extension system. If you are on an earlier release than 4.2, the add-on falls outside its stated compatibility range. Check the developer's GitHub page for the latest version details before installing on a specific build.
Vectart Animation ships as add_on_vectart_animation.zip from its GitHub repository. Download that file, then open Blender and go to Edit > Preferences > Get Extensions, or use drag-and-drop directly in Blender 4.2 and newer. Install the .zip and enable Vectart Animation in the extensions list. Once enabled, the panel appears under View3D > Sidebar > VectArt, where you add target collections and configure timing, style, and advanced settings before creating an animation.
Vectart Animation is listed as free here and is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. That license covers how you can use, modify, and redistribute the add-on. For current licensing terms and any updates, check the developer's GitHub page. The project is authored by Dimona Patrick under the Dream Pixels Forge account, and bug reports, feature requests, or questions can be raised by opening an issue on that repository.
Vectart Animation's Geometry Nodes mode provides five procedural presets: Wave Deform, Noise Displacement, Dissolve, Scatter Grow, and Smooth Inflate. When you apply one to a mesh object, the add-on creates a geometry node group with animated inputs, so no manual node wiring is needed, and those inputs are auto-keyframed. A One-Click GN Remove option strips all Vectart GN modifiers and cleans up unused node groups when you are done. This mode was added in version 2.1.0.
