Yanobox Nodes is a generative motion graphics plugin from Yanobox, working across After Effects, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro X, and Motion. It creates connected motion graphics and abstract particle universes, and has been used by leading artists for screen graphics in films including The Avengers, Planet of the Apes, and Ender's Game. Made by the author of the Motype title generator, it combines text and graphics in 3D animations.
The workflow starts with procedural geometry: build a point cloud from primitives, 3D models, or footage, then populate the system with particles, images, and text lists. You can define relationships between nodes, script specific links, and render stacks of bezier curves, lines, or wireframes with detailed precision. Organic effects come from replicating forms and injecting randomness, probabilities, noise, deformations, and oscillations into the system.
Nodes 3 adds a new replicator, a deep animation module, and a preset browser with categories and keyword search. It ships with 300 animated presets and templates, regular polygon forms, revamped auto-animations, and controls for colors, transforms, probabilities, and grid offsets. A GPU-accelerated 3D environment handles real-time rendering, and you can import OBJ 3D models and sequences.
