A narrowly focused utility rather than a broad toolkit: it does one job, placing standard paper-sized planes in a scene, and the 0.1.0 release fixed object and mesh naming when the paper size changes. Its GPL v3 source lives on GitHub.
Add Std Paper-Format is a Blender add-on for creating plane objects sized to standardized paper formats. Choose a format and the add-on adds a plane at the corresponding size. It covers European A, B and C series, US formats, Japanese, Chinese, billboard, newspaper and book sizes, along with many other standardized formats.
When a preset doesn't fit, custom formats can be created using sliders or standard Blender length units. Each created object is named according to the format it represents, so paper sizes stay identifiable. Version 0.1.0 updates the object and mesh names correctly when the paper size is changed.
The add-on works with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer and requires no special permissions. It is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, with source available on the developer's GitHub repository. At around 19.3 KB, it stays a lightweight addition to the Add Mesh menu.
Add Std Paper-Format is best for blender users who need plane objects matched to standard paper formats, or custom sizes defined in Blender length units.
Add Std Paper-Format is completely free to download and use.
Add Std Paper-Format is compatible with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer, so it runs on the current long-term support release and later builds. It requires no special permissions inside Blender. The add-on is compact, at around 19.3 KB, and can be installed as a Blender extension. Once enabled, it adds planes to the scene through the Add Mesh menu. For the exact supported build range and any newer releases, check the developer's page on GitHub.
Add Std Paper-Format supports a wide range of standardized paper sizes, including European A, B and C series, US formats, Japanese, Chinese, billboard, newspaper and book sizes, among many others. Beyond the presets, you can build custom formats using sliders or standard Blender length units. Each plane you add is a standard mesh object, so it behaves like any other geometry in your scene. The created object is named according to the format you choose, which keeps sizes identifiable.
Add Std Paper-Format lets you create custom formats in addition to its built-in presets. You can define dimensions with sliders or by entering standard Blender length units, giving you sizes outside the standardized catalog when you need them. As with the preset formats, the resulting object is named accordingly. This works alongside the supported European, US, Japanese, Chinese, billboard, newspaper and book formats, so both standard and non-standard sizes come from the same tool.
Add Std Paper-Format is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, an open-source license. Its source is available on the developer's GitHub repository, where the project is written mainly in Python. This catalog lists the add-on as free; for current licensing terms and any changes, refer to the developer's page. The extension also requires no special permissions within Blender, so it does not request extra access when installed.
