Animation Auto Offset earns its place in the Blender Extensions library for turning the ordinary move, rotate and scale operators into a way to shift entire poses across keyframes, without touching the graph editor.
Animation Auto Offset introduces a new animation editing mode in Blender. When activated, any change to the transform — or any animatable property — of an object or bone propagates to all, or just the selected, keyframes at once while keeping the relative offset. This lets you offset poses with the standard move, rotate and scale operators, without working in the graph editor.
One caveat: the add-on has no effect while auto-keying is enabled at the same time. For that situation, an 'Auto keying override' option in the add-on's preferences temporarily disables auto-keying so the offset behaviour can run.
Animation Auto Offset is compatible with Blender 4.4 and newer, written entirely in Python, and requires no special permissions. It is distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, and sits at rank 284 on the Blender Extensions platform. The current release is version 1.3.3.
Animation Auto Offset is best for animators offsetting poses and adjusting keyframes on objects or bones using the standard transform operators rather than the graph editor.
Animation Auto Offset is completely free to download and use.
Animation Auto Offset is compatible with Blender 4.4 and newer. Version 1.3.3 is the current release, and the add-on is written entirely in Python while requiring no special permissions to run. It is small in size, around 15 KB. For installation you can drag and drop the downloaded file into Blender, or download it and use Install from Disk. If you are on an older Blender build, check the developer's GitHub page, where the version history and releases are listed.
Animation Auto Offset has no effect while auto-keying is enabled at the same time. To handle this, the add-on includes an 'Auto keying override' option in its preferences that temporarily disables auto-keying so the offset behaviour can take over. Once the editing mode is active, any change to the transform or an animatable property of an object or bone propagates to all or selected keyframes while keeping the relative offset, which lets you work with the standard transform operators instead of the graph editor.
Animation Auto Offset is distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. It is listed as free in this catalog, and its source is written entirely in Python and requires no special permissions in Blender. For current licensing terms, the source files and the full release history, see the developer's GitHub page, which tracks each version of the add-on.
Animation Auto Offset can be added by dragging and dropping the downloaded file into Blender, or by downloading it and using Install from Disk. It targets Blender 4.4 and newer, is around 15 KB in size, and requires no special permissions. After installation, you activate the new animation editing mode to start offsetting keyframes with the standard move, rotate and scale operators.
